St. Helena presents Being Adept Parent Education Workshop on Tuesday, April 10, 5:00-7pm. St. Helena has partnered with the Bay Area non-profit group, Being Adept, on an age appropriate drug and alcohol abuse prevention program. The in-class sessions use Being Adept’s evidence-based strategies and science-based curriculum to empower students to be healthy, confident decision makers regarding substance use. St. Helena parents are invited to the presentation by Being Adept founder and executive director, Jennifer Grellman, focusing on current national and local trends related to drug and alcohol use among teens. Jennifer will also share the program goals for St. Helena sixth, seventh & eighth grade students as well as concrete tools for parents dealing with this challenging issue.
